I would say that it is truly a great grace when a theologian is able to speak to the faithful with fervor and simplicity. On the other hand, the ministry of preaching provides learned theologians with a healthy pastoral realism and provides vital stimuli for their scholarly research.

The Dominican seeks a balance between pastoral realism and scholarly inquiry. We cannot neglect study, because it influences our preaching. However, we cannot dedicate ourselves only to study, because we are called to share its fruits.
For this very reason, the brothers organize places at many monasteries where the knowledge acquired during the studies is passed on to the laity (and not only) who gather at the Dominican community. We invite you to take a look at these extraordinary initiatives.
