Consistency and regularity are very useful when writing a doctorate or learning a foreign language. They also make it easier to plan and send brothers to good universities. That is why we invite you to join Team Dominic, a group of people who regularly support us. The Brothers’ gratitude is not the only benefit of joining the Team.

Support our mission!
St. Dominic was surrounded by a group of devoted friends who supported him in his mission of preaching the Gospel. From the beginnings of the Order, the brothers never preached alone. They were accompanied by the prayers of the nuns and material and organizational support, and often the authority of lay people, especially tertiaries.
Today, our Order also benefits from the spiritual and material generosity of lay people who identify with its mission and want to participate in it. We do not and do not want to act alone. If our ideals and projects are close to you, we invite you to cooperate and support our projects. You are someone very important to us!
Our brothers study and research key topics in theology, philosophy and history. We invite you to see what they do. Perhaps you would like to become a Patron of one of them, supporting their specific academic project?

Title of payment: Donation for the brothers’ studies
Why is it so important?
Because educated Dominicans are:
excellent preachers who preach the Word of God with power,
pastors who are able to resolve doubts or direct the confessor to the appropriate place,
wise spiritual guides accompanying you in the spiritual search,
trustworthy confessors, providing wise advice,
lecturers who help deepen knowledge within existing Dominican initiatives for lay people,
educated assistants to communities at Dominican monasteries and parishes who can provide in-depth formation,
reliable researchers of Dominican spirituality, intellectual tradition, and history sharing their knowledge,
authors of in-depth works of religious literature and interesting content on social media.
What will your donation be used for?
Your support can go towards a specific research project (see Together We Can Do More) or support the St. Thomas Aquinas Fund, which annually finances the brothers’ studies and intellectual institutions. For example:
Currently, 13 brothers are pursuing doctoral studies, 8 of which are at foreign universities. In addition, 8 brothers are pursuing a canonical licentiate.
The annual cost of studying in Rome and Jerusalem (academic fees, living expenses, books, courses, etc.) is on average 75,000 PLN. Scholarships and the work of the brothers allow us to cover about 70% of this amount. However, it is not always possible to obtain them.
The annual cost of studies in Fribourg (academic fees, living expenses, books, courses, etc.) for one brother this year will be 95,887.75 PLN. Thanks to a scholarship from the Swiss Episcopal Conference, he does not have to worry about finances. But we would like to send more brothers there in the future, and the number of scholarships is limited.
In 2024, we plan to spend a total of PLN 233,622 on the brothers’ further studies, as well as PLN 33,807 on research projects of individual brothers working scientifically.
The Thomistic Institute receives PLN 130,660 from the Fund. This money is used to partially pay its lay employees, prepare scientific publications, and organize open meetings.
The Thomistic Institute Library needs 183,600 PLN this year to operate. This money is used to supplement the book collection, subscribe to journals, and pay lay staff. It is one of the best-equipped thematic libraries, and we provide free access to its collections on-site.
The Dominican Historical Institute needs 75,534 PLN to operate this year. This money pays for the work of a secretary, publishes 2 books a year in a prestigious series, and organizes an annual scientific conference.
